{"id":1419,"date":"2021-07-24T18:23:08","date_gmt":"2021-07-24T18:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.goncalo.pt\/por\/?p=1419"},"modified":"2023-10-07T03:06:48","modified_gmt":"2023-10-07T03:06:48","slug":"2021-07-18-a-criacao-de-uma-media-layer-para-tornar-o-codigo-mais-portavel-no-meu-game-engine-em-c-c","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.goncalo.pt\/por\/2021\/07\/24\/2021-07-18-a-criacao-de-uma-media-layer-para-tornar-o-codigo-mais-portavel-no-meu-game-engine-em-c-c\/","title":{"rendered":"2021-07-18 &#8211; A cria\u00e7\u00e3o de uma Media Layer para tornar o c\u00f3digo mais port\u00e1vel, no meu Game Engine, em C\/C++&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DML &#8211; Direct Media Layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9 o nome que dei \u00e0 layer que tenho entre o c\u00f3digo e o hardware da m\u00e1quina, e j\u00e1 explico o que \u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E podem ver \u00e0 direita o tamanho do execut\u00e1vel com uns 11 megas (enorme) e j\u00e1 explicarei porqu\u00ea tamb\u00e9m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E chamei DML (Direct Media Layer ou Multimedia Library?) porque \u00e9 um nome muito usado, tipo SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer, SFML acho que \u00e9 Simple and Fast Multimedia Layer, etc, o meu ser\u00e1 do estilo &#8220;media layer&#8221; como alguns outros, mas n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 toda ela feita do zero, tentarei usar coisas j\u00e1 criadas como a libPNG, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E assim quis que fosse DML (Direct Media Layer) acho eu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vai ser a minha layer de abstrac\u00e7\u00e3o do hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isto porqu\u00ea? Para tornar o c\u00f3digo port\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O Game Engine funciona em Linux, e estou a migr\u00e1-lo agora para Windows tamb\u00e9m, e para isso tenho de ajustar v\u00e1rias coisas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se tiver de mudar para outra m\u00e1quina e n\u00e3o sistema operativo apenas, tipo um MAC ou um Commodore Amiga antigo, terei de usar outro hardware, e teria de alterar centenas de ficheiros de c\u00f3digo, certo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Errado. Todo o c\u00f3digo invoca fun\u00e7\u00f5es da DML e quando mudar de m\u00e1quina, n\u00e3o mexo no c\u00f3digo, s\u00f3 tenho de criar uma layer na DML que seja do Commodore Amiga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O que essa layer faz \u00e9 executar as instru\u00e7\u00f5es no hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tipo, quero criar uma imagem, a layer ir\u00e1 usar c\u00f3digo espec\u00edfico para m\u00e1quinas PC, seja Windows ou Linux, e se usar o DML de Amiga, usar\u00e1 um c\u00f3digo diferente para usar na m\u00e1quina antiga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assim, poderei criar o c\u00f3digo que quiser, e usar o mesmo c\u00f3digo em 1001 m\u00e1quinas, em cada m\u00e1quina s\u00f3 terei de adaptar a DML e criar uma layer pr\u00f3pria para essa m\u00e1quina e j\u00e1 est\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O c\u00f3digo \u00e9 o mesmo, usa sempre a DML, os nomes das fun\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o os mesmos (n\u00e3o terei de alterar nada no c\u00f3digo), as pr\u00f3prias fun\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e9 que saber\u00e3o o que fazer consoante a m\u00e1quina que uso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isto para ter portabilidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Podem ver ali j\u00e1 o nascer da DML, e estou a alterar o c\u00f3digo todo para usar a DML e n\u00e3o o hardware directamente, para a poder usar noutras m\u00e1quinas, e agora inicialmente em Windows tamb\u00e9m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estive os \u00faltimos dias nisto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isto e o ter as imagens e m\u00fasicas embebidas no execut\u00e1vel, o que faz com que tenha v\u00e1rios megas de tamanho (pois tenho l\u00e1 muitas imagens de teste e ficheiros de m\u00fasica) e ficou enorme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Essa parte tamb\u00e9m j\u00e1 est\u00e1 a funcionar, e permitir-me-\u00e1 distribuir um jogo que seja um \u00fanico ficheiro execut\u00e1vel sem 1001 pastas e directorias atr\u00e1s, como eu gosto, \u00e0 &#8220;old school&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vou voltar durante uns dias \u00e0 chuva, para melhorar os efeitos e dar uma pausa nisto da DML.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2021-07-18.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DML &#8211;
